From December 2007 – February 2008 nearly 4000 people affected by mental health problems across England took part in the largest ever survey about stigma and discrimination.  This unique piece of research was led by Rethink’s research team and has helped to shape the national anti-discrimination programme Time to Change, which aims to challenge attitudes and change behaviour.   This report outlines how the Stigma Shout research was carried out and summarises its findings.
