The second issue of One in Four, the quarterly, aspirational lifestyle magazine for people with mental health difficulties and those who know and live with them. One in Four is an innovative mental health awareness and anti-stigma project.

The glossy, full colour quarterly contains a mixture of articles, news and information written predominantly by people with mental health difficulties, for people with mental health difficulties. It explains services and treatments, discusses health and wellbeing and inspires by showing positive images of people with mental health issues.

One in Four fights stigma and exclusion by challenging negative images of people with mental health difficulty, dispelling myths and increasing understanding.

Issue 2 has articles on:

• Debt: Sorting out your finances and overcoming your own credit crunch

• Parenting: How to balance mental health challenges with being a parent - what are the handy tips

• Education: how to get the qualifications you want without the stress

• Smoking: Why do tobacco use and mental health difficulties so often go together? What are the benefits of giving up?

• Plus news, interviews, real lives, reviews, letters and mythbusters.

One in Four is published by Social Spider CIC.  The main subscription model for One in Four is a multi-copy annual order sold to organisations which then make the magazine freely available to their service-users or members. This is why the magazine says “FREE” on the cover.

Because of demand for individual purchases of single copies of One in Four from people who cannot get the magazine through such organisations, it is being sold in The Mental Health Shop for £2.50.
