Star Wards

Star Wards is a project to improve the daily experiences and treatment outcomes of acute mental health patients. The publication is packed with practical, low-cost ideas for ways that wards can become more actively therapeutic. There's also the evidence base for the ideas and some great background articles.

It highlights strategies for enhancing the quality of patients’ time on the wards to result in: symptom reduction, symptom specific self management (eg managing voices, mood variations) and knowledge of medication management.
